Chinese smartphone giant iQOO is all set to launch the iQOO 8 series of devices in China on August 17. During the launch, the company is expected to launch two new flagships offerings intended for the Q3 and Q4 of 2021. These devices will be the iQOO 8 and the iQOO 8 Pro. Ahead of this launch event, the company began teasing certain details in relation to the upcoming flagship phones. The latest of these teasers reveals the Pro model’s camera details, confirming that the Pro model will include a triple-camera stack to the back, with the sensor details also out.

What Do We Know About the iQOO 8 Pro’s Cameras?

The latest teaser reveals that the Pro model of the iQOO 8 series will come equipped with a  triple-camera stack with the standout feature being the inclusion of VIS five-axis micro-cloud anti-shake gimbal stabilisation, which is sure to make videography a breeze for the user. Other optics related details include the presence of a main 50MP sensor coupled with a 48MP ultra-wide lens. The third lens will be a 16MP mid-focus sensor with a focal length of 14-60mm. This leak comes after previous teasers revealed that the Pro model of the upcoming series would employ the services of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC, which will supposedly be coupled with 12GB of RAM and 4GB of extended RAM. The device will also come with support for ultra-fast 120W charging. The front of the phone has also been leaked, with another leak suggesting that the display would be a curved 2K display with a hole-punch notch to the top. It was also confirmed that the Samsung E5 AMOLED display in use for the Pro model would come with LTPO or Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide technology to allow for a variable refresh rate panel that can switch from 1Hz to 120Hz depending on the use case. Other details are bleak as of now, with the final bit of information on offer being that the Pro model would come with a BMW Edition and a Black hue. This launch would be quite an interesting one, considering as to how the company recently launched the iQOO 7 series in India. If the iQOO 8 series does come to India, which it probably should, then we could see iQOO trading blows with the likes of Oppo, OnePlus and Samsung which is great news for the consumer, who will get more options for their money.
